Learning & Experience This internship gave me a great insight of how PR works in fashion industry. During my 8 weeks of internship at Quest PR, I learned a great deal of media hierarchy, who’s who, and alot more. My mentor made sure I get to attend and experience smallest of events, from shoots to client meetings. I wrote content for clients’ social media handle and mails for press release & product placements in magazines and newspapers. It helped me understand and develope professional writing skills. My fondeness for interaction, is what made me chose PR, without losing touch with design and creativity. I got the opportunity to interact with the people in magazines and newspapers. It helped me inculcate professionalism and enhance my verbal skills. This is a hyperactive industry, assisting me, increase my work pace and ideation, without losing control. 59
Conclusion Overall, I would describe my internship as a positive and instructive experience. There were some problems during the first week, as I was trying to understand my job role and work.in PR as an intern. I got to work for some good campaigns and events, which also gave me insight into event handling. Working life of PR Executives require alot of patience and composure. It was inspiring to see how my mentor and seniors were able to carry out their interests and deal with the clients. It was also an amazing experience to sit in the meetings and understand the clients’ expectations. I was highly motivated and pushed forward by my mentor and senior colleagues. All in all, Quest PR was a great was to work at, with great clientele and mentoring, 60
