OVERVIEW<br />

<strong>BrightEdge</strong> is a talented professional<br />

firm with both broad business and<br />

specialised sector experience. We have<br />

over 45 years combined experience in<br />

talent acquisition and HR structuring<br />

for local and international tier-one<br />

organisations.<br />

We use industry best practice to<br />

deliver results for our clients, although<br />

our specialty is investigative search.<br />

This has seen us establish a private<br />

database of over 120,000 executives,<br />

managers and tertiary qualified<br />

professionals across a broad range of<br />

disciplines, most related to the energy,<br />

infrastructure and utilities sectors. It<br />

has also given us an executive network<br />

of high caliber professionals who trust<br />

and freely engage with us.<br />

Although we are based in Brisbane,<br />

we are not geocentric in the way we<br />

operate. We are engaged by clients<br />

in diverse locations within Australia<br />

and overseas to attract local or<br />

international talent according to the<br />

demands of the situation.<br />

We work on an exclusive basis to<br />

identify talent for permanent staff<br />

positions that are pivotal to our clients’<br />

business. These are normally C-Suite<br />

and Senior Management roles; however<br />

we will undertake other assignments<br />

that are of significant import to our<br />

JEMENA<br />

Jemena is an Australian company that owns,<br />

manages or operates energy and water<br />

infrastructure assets in the eastern states<br />

of Australia including Queensland and New<br />

South Wales, as well as gas pipelines and<br />

gas and electricity distribution networks in<br />

Victoria and the Northern Territory.<br />

The challenges facing Jemena are the<br />

maintenance and replacement of legacy<br />

infrastructure as well as investment in new<br />

technologies that will enable the company<br />

to grow in a sustainable and eco-friendly<br />

manner, thus serving the broader interests<br />

of the Australian business and domestic<br />

communities.<br />

OUR FEES<br />

We created <strong>BrightEdge</strong> <strong>Partners</strong> to be leaders in our<br />

field, not followers. Our fee structure demonstrates<br />

our progressive thinking and provides a modern value<br />

proposition that reflects the integrity of the relationship we<br />

seek with Jemena. It is one of the key factors that sets us<br />

apart from other high-end firms.<br />

The structure reflects the resources we engage and the time<br />

and effort we expend on your assignments. This pragmatic<br />

and inherently fair structure results in fees that are realistic<br />

rather arbitrary (see worked examples).


HOW OUR FEE STRUCTURE<br />

WORKS<br />

• We estimate the number of<br />

hours we expect it will take us to<br />

complete an assignment.<br />

• If we finish the assignment within<br />

the estimated hours, we will only<br />

invoice Jemena for the hours we<br />

have expended.<br />

• If we have not finished the<br />

assignment within the estimated<br />

hours, we will continue until we<br />

have secured the right person, and<br />

then invoice only for the estimated<br />

hours.<br />

• If, as will sometimes happen, the<br />

right person just isn’t there at that<br />

time of looking, or Jemena finds a<br />

preferred candidate through their<br />

own channels, we will provide a<br />

credit of 50% of our fee to be used<br />

on any future assignment.<br />

• If, for any reason whatsoever, a<br />

candidate ceases to be employed by<br />

Jemena within the first 6 months<br />

from the commencement date, we<br />

will find a replacement without<br />

charge. After 6 months and up to 12<br />

months, we will find a replacement<br />

at 50% of our normal fee.<br />

Lorraine's life journey has taken her<br />

from successful pool player in the halls<br />

of Sydney and Brisbane to a thriving<br />

organisational consulting career in the<br />

private and public sectors.<br />

She works with executives and<br />

leadership groups to provide sound<br />

pathways to positive change within the<br />

organisational landscape.<br />

Lorraine gained a doctorate in<br />

organisational psychology from<br />

Griffiths University where she was<br />

awarded the Behavioural Science and<br />

Psychology medals for her academic<br />

achievements.<br />

JEREMY TREVATT – PARTNER<br />

Jeremy has recently returned from<br />

several years in the USA where he was<br />

engaged by PwC as a Senior Director in<br />

their Digital Technology & Innovation<br />

space. Driving transformation for<br />

numerous Fortune 500 companies has<br />

been the most recent episode in his<br />

dynamic career in management and<br />

technology consulting.<br />

Jeremy attended QUT and is a Certified<br />

SAFe® 4 Program Consultant (SPC)<br />

and a Certified SAFe® 4 Agilist.


MIKE NEWTON – PARTNER<br />

Mike is an experienced business driver<br />

with a history of delivering solutions,<br />

growth and prosperity. Mike is focused<br />

on delivering value over the spectrum<br />

of business horizons, from tactical<br />

quick wins which sustain momentum,<br />

through to attaining bigger strategic<br />

goals by distilling and implementing<br />

the executive vision.<br />

He studied philosophy at the University<br />

of London and has always held a keen<br />

interest in people, motivation and<br />

business culture.
