the Rock River National Water Trail, adventure seekers are
always in close proximity to the outdoors whether they are
hiking, biking, boating, or ying.
The city’s beautifully preserved downtown, with a
decorative gantry and brick-paved main street, offers
an exceptional array of boutiques, galleries, restaurants,
coffee shops, a record store, and even an old-fashioned
barber shop and candy store. It is easy to see why Main
Street America named Downtown Beloit one of the “Most
Romantic Main Streets” in the country in 2017!
In addition, there are several cultural and historical
attractions including the Logan Museum of Anthropology,
Authentic farm-to-table experiences, ethnic Mexican

FROM MANUFACTURING TO TECHNOLOGY

company, Beloit was a rst-hand witness to America’s
industrial boom. The 1858 ironworks company—Merrill &
Houston Ironworks—and later Beloit Iron Works, prospered for
more than a century. Today, the site has been renovated
into the 24-acre Ironworks Campus and is home to
many tech businesses including Comply365, Ebates, and
AccuLynx. Several corporate headquarters are located in
Beloit including ABC Supply—owned by Diane Hendricks,
named the nation’s wealthiest self-made woman by Forbes,
Broaster Company, Fairbanks Morse, NorthStar Medical
Radioisotopes, PlayMonster, and Regal.
Additionally, a network of food processing and ingredient
companies, including Snyder’s Lance, Hormel Foods, DuPont
Danisco, Frito-Lay, and Kerry call Beloit home.
