International Students
Term 4 saw the completion of the High School
Graduate program for 32 Year 12 international
students. Many of these students have been
at the school for two to three years and we
are proud of their achievements which reflect
the quality education and rich learning that is
provided at NMHS. To leave one’s home country
and study in a language, which is not their first
language, and to complete the SACE is truly an
amazing accomplishment. It was pleasing to
see some of these students receiving special
awards, merit prizes and endeavour certificates
at the Year 12 Graduation Ceremony.
Scholarship and Special Awards students

The students have made many friendships at
the school and also took up opportunities to
tour Adelaide and South Australia with their host
families and on organised tours. We wish them
well as they return to complete their studies in
their home countries.
Exchange Students
Towards the end of Term 4, two of our Year 11
students, took up opportunities to experience life
in overseas schools. Nic is currently in Takahashi
at our sister school in Okayama Prefecture on
a 4 week exchange program. Kai is in Rennes,
France, on an exchange in School Victor Et
Hélène Basch, which is the school where one
of our Term 3 Study Abroad Program students,
Paul Henry, attends. From a snippet of his
journal, Kai talks about his “experience of a
lifetime”, living with a host
family, experiencing life and
culture in France as well as
attending school lessons.
He is currently learning
French, having not had
any experience in the
