This artwork is composed of a series of nine unauthorized photos of high-ranking U.S. intelligence officials of the NSA, CIA, NI, and FBI who were related to Edward Snowden's revelations. The appropriated material was found by monitoring photos and selfies published on Internet public platforms without the control of the officials. The images were reproduced with the street art HD Stencils technique, and they were disseminated onto public walls throughout major cities.

A 2013 Newsweek profile suggested Haines’ potential nemesis <strong>at</strong> the CIA to be an<br />
official known only as “Roger,” the chief of the CIA’s counterterrorism center (CTC) who<br />
also presides over the drone program. 47 Haines also worked on reducing the backlog<br />
of over six hundred secret agreements with a number of countries in Eastern Europe<br />
allowing the CIA to set up black sites to hold and interrog<strong>at</strong>e suspected terrorists. 48<br />
Avril Haines became the subject of increased media <strong>at</strong>tention when she was appointed to<br />
her position <strong>at</strong> the CIA for having hosted erotic liter<strong>at</strong>ure readings <strong>at</strong> a Baltimore bookstorecafe<br />
th<strong>at</strong> she ran together with her husband during the 90s between college and law<br />
school. 49 Not even the w<strong>at</strong>chers are exempt from social media gossip and specul<strong>at</strong>ion.<br />
