A touch of glitz
& glamour at
Wootton Bridge
After nine months of organising and
many sleepless nights, a charity ball
was a huge success, raising an amount
of just under £1,300.
Organised by Southern Co-op’s Funeralcare in
Ryde, 50 people attended the glamorous event at
The Lakeside Hotel on 22 September.
Held in aid of the Phoenix Project, a specialist
day service for adults with learning disabilities, it is
part of Southern Co-op’s community engagement
programme ‘Love Your Neighbourhood’.
Lesley Borton, Ryde Funeral Co-ordinator, said:
“We are so grateful for everybody’s support. To have
raised so much money for such a deserving charity
is really special.”
