signed footpath on L through field gate.
Footpath continues through field on R and
down to the dam by the farm. Footpath
continues across dam to all lakes but ‘no
swimming’.

Several deep swimming spots are to be
found on this beautiful, quiet stretch of the
river, though it is shallow at the bridge.

end of Brook Lane (beyond OX29 8PS). Cross
bridge and head R to find deeper sections on
bend in middle of field.

10 ROLLRIGHT STONES
Borrow divining rods from the local warden
to test the magic when you cross the stone
boundary. The main site is the Kings Men, an
impressive, fully formed stone circle.

Long Compton. Park in lay-by on L after ½ mile
(before OX7 5QB). The Whispering Knights are
down a path back alongside the road, and the
King Stone is on the opposite side of the road,
though sadly these are fenced.
