PHIL BEER:
SO MUCH TO
CHOOSE FROM –
THE 2020 TOUR
Show of Hands and Albion
Band stalwart Phil is returning
to Otley, this time with his own
solo show. Busily engaged
in finishing many recordings
to make up a definitive box
set of songs and music
encapsulating everything he
does or has done in the last
40 years. There will be archive
material as well as copious new
songs all wrapped up in one
mesmeric show.
The solo shows for 2020,
will be the last time Phil
undertakes such a large
number of performances, so
don’t miss the opportunity to
see and hear Phil for one last
time and all the fantastic songs
he has written.
Very old songs, very new
songs. So much to choose
from after all this time.

DR ANNIE
GRAY: SERVING
WINSTON – THE
LIFE AND TIMES
OF GEORGINA
LANDEMARE,
CHURCHILL’S
LONGEST
SERVING COOK
Dr Annie Gray is one of Britain’s
leading food historians. She
is a panelist on BBC Radio
4’s The Kitchen Cabinet and
appears on TV, including The
Victorian Bakers and food
programmes with Nigel Slater,
Heston Blumenthal and James
Martin.
Georgina Landemare was
the longest serving cook for
Churchill across Downing
Street, Chequers and
Chartwell. The talk will cover
her life and career along with
the food she cooked, the
impact of rationing at No.10,
and the relationship she had
with her illustrious employers.
The talk is both a celebration
of a determined cook, and a
reminder that behind every
great man lies a woman who
can make a mean custard.
