Q: Is it possible for me to get TAT and the
rates before the shipping?
Yes. Just get in touch with our Customer
Support desk on 18001232711 for the
shipment status and the respective rates.
Q: At what stage of the delivery do I have
to make the payment to the freight?
A: There are two options for payment i.e.
prepaid and post-paid. The prepaid model is
advance annual contract package where you
pay for the full year at a competitive price. In
post-paid model, you will have to sign up a
contract & pay on a weekly/fortnightly basis.
Q: Are open delivery services available for
precious cargo?
A: Precious cargo usually are transported
on “sit to contain” basis, meaning carriers
or logistics service providers accept the
precious cargo shipment in sealed condition
at the time of pick up, accepting shippers
declaration on their shipment documents
with respect to contents of the shipment. The
same is delivered to the consignee in a sealed
condition.
Q: What are the documents required on a
marketing trip?
•GST format delivery challan
•Declaration undertaking not to sell any of
the items listed in the delivery challan during
a marketing trip
Q: Does JB policy cover infidelity of
logistics service providers?
A: Yes. JB Policy is a composite policy that
covers burglary and theft, fire and other
perils in addition to open marine policy.
It covers all transit, storage and third-party
risks including infidelity of carriers/logistics
service providers.
Q: What does Bill of Lading mean?
A: A document issued by a carrier or
logistics service provider to a shipper, signed
by the captain, agent, or owner of a vessel,
which furnishes written evidence regarding
receipt of freight, the conditions on which
transportation is made and the date to deliver
goods at the prescribed port of destination to
the lawful holder of the bill of lading.
Q: What does Chargeable Weight include?
A: The weight or volume of a shipment
used in determining freight charges. The
chargeable weight could be the dimensional
weight or on container shipments, the gross
weight of the shipment minus the containers
tare weight. In other words, it is the gross
weight or the net weight of the shipment,
whichever is higher.
