Blue Trail
The Blue Trail is paved and is constructed on top of an old
railroad bed. The trail runs from Seneca Road; the border
between Wisconsin Rapids and Port Edwards; north to
West Grand Avenue. Along the way you will go past
numerous wetlands and forest areas as well as pass by the
City’s Zoo. At West Grand Avenue you can cross over the
Riverview Expressway and connect with the Green Trail.
You can also cross over just south of the Zoo and connect
with the Red Trail. If you continue south of Seneca Road
you will connect with other Wood County trails that run
through Port Edwards and Nekoosa. The Blue Trail is 3.1
miles long.

Green Trail
The Green Trail follows the Riverview Expressway east through
the city. From the intersection of Highway 54 and the Riverview
Expressway you can continue east into the Town of Grand Rapids.
The trail ends at Reddin Road near the city limits on the north side of
town. The Green Trail is 6.6 miles long.
Purple Trail
The Purple Trail begins at the intersection of Highway 54 and the
Riverview Expressway. Proceed north along Highway 54, crossing
Washington Street. Two blocks north of Washington Street, the
trail goes through a pedestrian underpass emerging at Robinson
Park. If you cross Highway 54 at Washington Street you can
continue north over a railroad overpass to Spring Street. From
there go west on Spring Street to 1 st Street North and connect
with the Red Trail. The Purple Trail is 3.8 miles long.
Red Trail
The Red Trail begins at the Ben Hansen Park (parking is available).
The paved trail runs north along the Wisconsin River through
Ben Hansen Park and Lyons Park, passing under the Riverview
Expressway Bridge and continues north along 1 st Avenue South to
the Grand Avenue Bridge. After crossing the Grand Avenue Bridge,
the trail continues north again through Veterans Park and Mead
Rapids View Park. The trail resumes its northward trek along
1 st Street into the Village of Biron. The Red Trail is 3.8 miles long.
Yellow Trail
The Yellow Trail begins at Demitz Park at the intersection of
3 rd Street South and the Riverview Expressway. The trail heads
south along 1 st Street South and joins the Airport trail at Two
Mile Avenue where it heads east to Sampson Street then south
again to Griffith Avenue. You can then proceed east along Griffith
Avenue to Nepco Lake Park. The Yellow Trail is 4.1 miles long.
