​ Create the ideal conditions ...

... for laying and collecting eggs

• optimum fertilisation time: february to October

• balanced nutrition with adequate water

• correct ratio between females and males (e.g. for chickens max. 10:1)

• shaded and clean environment

• ambient temperature: 16 °C to 24 °C

• ambient humidity: 55% to 75%

• collect the eggs at least 4 times daily with washed hands, disinfect them

immediately and place them with the tip pointing downwards at 15-18 °C

before brooding (at least 24 hours, but no more than 5 days)

...for brooding the eggs

• set up the Brooding Machine in a dry, shaded and draught-free room at a

constant temperature of between 17 °C and 25 °C

• for brooding, use eggs that are of as similar size as possible

• set the brooding machine to the ideal temperature

• turn the eggs at least twice a day or use an automatic Actuator

• every 2 days, top up lukewarm water in order to ensure optimum

ambient humidity

... for rearing chicks

• after hatching, keep the chicks in a dry and warm environment (29-35 °C)

for 1 month. Infra-red heaters are ideal for this which are positioned at a

height of around 70 cm

As well as the CE mark, all Brood Machinery bears a DEKRA

seal, thereby offering proof that it satisfies the toughest

demands in terms of quality and safety.

User-friendly display

All digital models feature a display which allows the brood temperature

to be displayed and adjusted, and also offer a reminder function for

when the eggs need to be turned and water topped up.

Actuator

The optionally available Actuators turn the eggs automatically and

therefore offer an increased level of comfort and brood success.
