The March 2019 Annual Impact Trip afforded MedShare Board
members, donors, staff, and supporters the opportunity to visit
medical facilities and communities in Ethiopia that have been
served by the MedShare Mission. Having suffered one of the worst
droughts and famines ever in East Africa, the country’s health systems
struggled to treat patients in rural medically underserved communities.
12 members of the MedShare Board of Trustees and other
supporters traveled to Ethiopia. The visit focused on assessing
the impact of MedShare’s ongoing partnership with the Ethiopian
Ministry of Health.
