A research study was conducted by DRRA on Inclusive Health Rights to identify thegaps and barriers in Government Policy as well as health service delivery system inBangladesh.Persons with disabilities are the most disadvantaged and oppressed category in thecountry. Actually, approximately 15 per cent of the world's overall population faceany form of illness, of which about 200 million have severe physical disabilities. In2008 Alma Ata Deceleration, WHO described health as "a period of full physical,mental and social well-being and not merely a lack of disease or infirmity" which isvery much a reflection of the objective of the SD G-3. Then in 1999, right to vision by2020 supports the incorporation of eye health into current health systems wherepossible. Lastly, the WHO Global Action Plan 2014 to 2021 seeks to improve andincorporate rehabilitation into the current health system. The adoption by the UNGeneral Assembly of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD)in 2006 further strengthened international cooperation on this critical topic and putthe issue squarely on the global agenda.Research/StudyOnHealth(Methodology &Survey onInclusive HealthRights)Bangladesh, as a signatory member, should have a specific policy andrecommendations on health and rehabilitation within the current health service.
