ACA Vic has been pretty busy with memorialsand heritage activities. I gave a short pre sen tation on Com mandosand OP RIMAU.A presentationwas made to com -memorate the twoVictorians, SergeantDavid Gooley andLieute nant BrunoReymond, both ofwhom had regionallinkages, who par -tici pated in Opera -tion RIMAU.The Operation RIMAU presentationmade to the Foster RSL.2020 RIP MemorialThe annual RIP service at Shortland’s’ Bluff onSunday, 16 th February was attended by Associationmembers, families and friends of those lost during theRIP incident. Many former members of 2 CommandoCompany and 41 Amphibious Platoon made a specialeffort to attend and catch up with old mates. There wasa significant representation from the Borough ofQueens cliff including the Mayor and several currentservingcounsellors. There were more than 190 peoplecounted attending the commemoration and mostjoined the Association luncheon at the nearby BowlingClub.This was also an opportunity for many formermembers to catch up with General Bennett.60 th Commemoration Dinner for RIP IncidentThe RIP Commemoration dinner was conducted onFriday, 14 th February and attended by more than 60COMMANDO ~ The Magazine of the Australian Commando Association ~ Edition 2 I 2020 11
