ACCEPT, DON'T STIGMATIZEDespite our increased acceptance of the LGBTQcommunity, the “B” is often left out. People useexcuses for why they wouldn’t date a bisexualperson — like competition with both gendersfor their partner’s attention or the belief thatbisexuality doesn’t exist — but it boils down tothis: Bisexuality is still misunderstood by asociety that refuses to accept it.We must do better. We must destroy the myths thatbisexual people are promiscuous, indecisive orgoing through a phase. We must understand thatsexuality cannot be chosen based on convenienceor availability. Love who you love no matterwho they are attracted to, and see those mythsfor what they are: stigmas that stand in the wayof love and acceptance.
