Welcome to the first Yearbook & Directory
of the Arabian Sport Horse Alliance, Inc.!
This inaugural 2015-2016 Arabian Sport Horse Alliance Yearbook and Member Directory
celebrates the activities of the Alliance in his first two years and shines a spotlight
on our members to help promote their farms and horses. This publication is intended to
be analogous to the yearbooks that many of the sport horse registries publish annually.
Contents include:
• Articles about our first honorees for the Lifetime Achievement, Horse of the Year, Hall of
Fame Person, and Hall of Fame Horse Awards
• Information and winner lists of the ASHA Highlight Awards that recognize achievements of
Arabian-bred horses and ponies in all-breed sport horse competitions

Thank you all to all our Charter Members and Members for joining the Alliance and
helping to build a unique organization to serve the “big tent” of the Arabian sport horse
community. The Board of Directors are deeply honored by and grateful for your support
of the organization. The Alliance brings together people from a number of registries and
all the sport horse disciplines. While the needs and concerns of a member new to the
sport horse disciplines may differ from those of a member who has been breeding and
competing Arabian-bred horses at upper levels for decades, what we all share is a deep
appreciation for the qualities offered by Arabian bred sport horses and a desire to connect
with others who share that passion.
The Alliance was created as a member based organization to help join together the
various segments of the sport horse community involved with Arabian-bred horses so
we could work together to support and promote efforts to raise the profile of Arabianbred
sport horses and ponies. Ultimately, YOUR participation with and dedication to
the Arabian-bred sport horse is at the heart of the Alliance. Whether you are a breeder,
amateur exhibitor, promising youth participant, or talented professional; whether you focus
on Arabians, Shagya-Arabians, Anglo-Arabians, Half-breds, or part-breds in sport
registries the Alliance welcomes you and hopes you will help us to build this organization
to serve this incredible community of people who appreciate the many talents and qualities
of Arabian-bred sport horses.
