BENEFITS SUMMARY: 3D <strong>ARCHITECTURE</strong> The dot-com age is upon us because of a simple technology fact—we are in an age of ubiquitous, inexpensive, everyone-to-everyone connectivity. As former islands of technology connect, they cease to become systems unto themselves and instead become part of a huge, globally-connected, loosely-coupled, massively distributed super-system. In this context, the demands for scalability, availability, security, and robustness are of a completely different order than they have been in the island days.
