GOSPEL ACCLAMATION (Revelation 1:8)
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; to God who is, who was, and who is to come. (R)
GOSPEL
A reading from the holy Gospel according to John (3:16-18)
(God sent his Son that the world might be saved through him)
God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God
did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him will not
be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
—The Gospel of the Lord.
R. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
I believe in one God, the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with
the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for
our salvation he came down from heaven, (bow your head) and
by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became
man. (lift your head)For our sake he was crucified under Pontius
Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose againon the
third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into
The Nicene Creed
The Liturgy of the Eucharist
COMMUNION ANTIPHON (Galatians 4:6)
Since you are children of God, God has sent into your hearts the Spirit of his Son, the Spirit who cries out: Abba, Father.
An act of spiritual communion
*this is to be prayed at the time when we would normally receive communion*
heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come
again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom
will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds
from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is
adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one
Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection
of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen
PRAYER Over The Offerings
Let us pray (pause)
Sanctify by the invocation of your name, we pray, O Lord our God, this oblation of our service, and by it make of us an eternal offering to you.
Through Christ our Lord.
R. Amen.
My Jesus,
I believe that you are in
the blessed sacrament.
I love you above all things
and I long for you in my soul.
since I cannot now receive you
sacramentally,
come at least spiritually
into my heart.
as though you have already come,
I embrace you
and unite myself entirely
to you; never permit me
to be separated from you.
Amen.
PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION
Let us pray (pause)
May receiving this Sacrament, O Lord our God, bring us health of body and soul, as we confess your eternal holy Trinity and undivided Unity.
Through Christ our Lord.
R. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.Blessed art
thou among womenand blessed is the fruit of thywomb,
Jesus.Holy Mary, Mother of God,pray for us sinners, now
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Prayer to St. Michael
St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against
the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly
pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of
God, thrust into Hell Satan and the other evil spirits who prowl about the
world for the ruin of souls. Amen.
