Maskontravel.com was created by two great friends,
Kateryna Martynyuk and Kombarov Ilya. During their stay in
Scalea, a small town lapped by the crystal-clear water of the
Mediterranean Sea, they were not able to find any tourist
guide who could lead them to discover the whole city, not
only from its architectural or aestethic point of vue, but also
to give them all the information about its history, traditions,
habits and customs and – why not – its peculiarities with
regards to food or even any local popular parties or
festivals. It was a pity that a tourist – Italian or foreign one –
could not enjoy such an amazing place!
Hence, they reasonably thought to a solution in order to
meet similar needs of people going on vacation. What
better way than to open a web-based tour portal, so that no
one else would have experienced such situations and every
city could be open to the tourist, in all its aspects?

How did they get inspired to
choose this name?
Mascon is a contraction of the scientific expression “mass
concentration” that is related to gravitational attraction on
the Moon surface. Are you astonished? Well, you should
know the perserverance, the determination, the pro-active
attitude and the vision featuring the character of the two
founders to understand this very telling name! Without
these – and other natural aptidues, of course – the smiling
Kateryna and the down-to-earth Ilya could not afford to
make their dream come true, not to mention their big
success!
