Calm Reflections <strong>of</strong> the Past<br />
Historic Rossmore was built by Theophilis and Emily D. Ross in 1902. In 1905 they built a spectacular and<br />
one <strong>of</strong> the most admired boathouses on the lake. The Ross’s started coming to Lake Hopatcong in 1891,<br />
staying at hotels until they built Rossmore. Mr. Ross was a manufacturer in Newark having immigrated<br />
