remembering that each school community is unique.
ISBE is grateful to the individuals who shared their time, thinking, and commitment to students
in the development of these recommendations. With grace and an assumption of positive intent
by those who possess a different experiential background, these educators grappled with the
large question of, What might remote learning look like across Illinois while considering local
values, student needs, and available resources? We hope you will engage with the ideas
shared in this document with a similar commitment to your localities. Feel free to share your
