– read, understand and sign a Tier 4Enrolment Declaration at Enrolment– engage with any other attendancemonitoring activities introduced duringthe yearThe School will have to notify the HomeOffice of any students with a Tier 4 visawho do not enrol within 10 days of the startof each term, or who leave the programme.Work restrictionsUnless your visa has a work prohibition,you can work part-time for up to 20 hoursa week during term-time and may workfull- time during holiday periods; howeveryou must always be able to satisfy thedemands of your programme. BA Actingstudents in particular are requested not towork during term-time.If you have a Tier 4 student visa, you:– must not fill a full-time permanentvacancy– must not be a self-employed orfreelance worker– must not undertake work as an‘entertainer’ (whether paid or unpaid)– must not engage in ‘business activity’If you have previously held another typeof visa and have worked as an entertainerprofessionally in the UK, these regulationswill apply once you hold a Tier 4 studentvisa and this work must cease.Some Tier 4 student visa holders maybe eligible to undertake employment inprofessional performances subject to controlby the School’s Outside Engagement service;full details and Professional PerformanceGuidance are available from theMusic Office.Tier 4 doctoral studentsExcept in identifying the start of each newacademic year, term dates do not applyto the doctoral programme.
