Brown Grabs Ninth Bowman Gray Stadium Title
Winston -Salem, NC (August 18, 2012) – Tim Brown clinched his
record-breaking championship at the Bowman Gray Stadium in
Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Saturday. Brown’s consistent
performance this season gave him a respectable lead heading
into the event. The Rural Hall native needed to only finish in the
top 12 to clinch the title, and he finished ninth. Brown shattered
legend Ralph Brinkley’s record for most Modified championships
in the 64-year history at the stadium by taking his ninth title.

Frank Kimmel Drives to Eighth Career Win on Springfield
Dirt SPRINGFIELD, IL (August 19, 2012) - Frank Kimmel made
another step in his ongoing quest for a 10th ARCA championship
on Sunday, leading 51 laps in the Allen Crowe 100 at the Illinois
State Fairgrounds to earn his sixth consecutive top-five, but more
importantly, his 76th career win and eighth on the Springfield
dirt. Kimmel’s Eibach Springs equipped No. 44 took command
on Lap 87 and led the final 14 laps to take his second win in 24
days. The nine-time ARCA champion drew to within 15 points of
the series lead

Dungey Crowned 2012 450 Motocross Champion at
Unadilla; Musquin Claims First Overall Win on US Soil NEW
BERLIN, NY (August 19, 2012) – Red Bull KTM Factory rider
Ryan Dungey made history for KTM as he went 1-1 at Unadilla
Raceway to take the overall victory and the crown as the 2012
Lucas Oil Pro 450 Motocross Champion. Dungey started fifth in
the first moto and stopped hearts in the pits when he crashed in
the first lap that dropped him back to eleventh place. In typical

Dungey style he was back on his KTM 450 SX-F in an instant
and began to pick off riders to put himself in the lead when the
two-lap board went out. When the checkered flag flew, Dungey
crossed the finish line to take the first moto victory. In the
second moto, Dungey launched out of the gate in fourth at the
first turn and was in third at the fourth corner. Moments later he
had assumed the lead and never looked back. He dominated the
remainder of race to claim the overall and his first championship
for the Austrian brand in the U.S.A . To make it a perfect Orange
weekend for the US factory team, French rider Marvin Musquin
claimed his first ever overall 250 win on USA soil with a 2-3
moto result while German teammate Ken Roczen finished third
overall after winning the first moto.

Dominating Performance at Stockton Extends Thorn’s
SRL Lead Stockton, CA (August 21, 2012) – Derek Thorn left no
doubt that he is the driver to beat in the SPEARS SRL Southwest

Tour and in the Sunoco Driven Challenge National points,
extending his lead in both series with another fast-time and the
win in Saturday’s “Performance Electrical 125” at Stockton 99
Speedway. The win on Saturday came after Thorn set the fastest
qualifying time with a 13.506 around the historic quarter-mile
asphalt oval, but he started the race sixth after the invert. It
didn’t take long for the Lakeport native to steer the Eibach
Springs equipped #43 to the front, taking the lead on lap 30.
Thorn managed to keep a car length or two ahead of the second
place contender while lapping up to fifth place in the 18 car field.
Thorn pulled away on a late restart with 10 to go and took the
win by half a second at the line. Thorn’s win now gives him
four wins and four fast-times in just seven starts this year in the
competitive SRL series. The victory extends his points lead to
39 points heading into their next event in Las Vegas. Thorn has
an average finish of 2.42 and an average qualifying of 1.85 after
seven rounds of the 2012 SRL Southwest Tour.

Travis Sauter Takes Third ASAMT Win of the Season
ELKO, MN (August 18, 2012) – Travis Sauter brought home win
number three in the American Speed Association® Midwest Tour
presented by SCAG Power Equipment and Lester Buildings in
the Governor’s Cup 125 at Elko Speedway in Elko, Minnesota.
Utilizing his Eibach Springs and JRi Shock combination, Sauter
took the top spot with 15 laps to go and never looked back,
capturing both the win and the Hedman Husler Hedders Hard
Charger presented by Tesar Racing Engines and Lefthander
Chassis by improving 12 positions. His previous wins came in
the Howie Lettow Memorial 150 at the Milwaukee Mile and again
in the Colony Brands 100 presented by RaceTeamGear.com at
Madison International Speedway.
UMP DIRTcar Late Models
Bernheisel Scores Late Model Triumph at Selinsgrove
SELINSGROVE, PA (August 18, 2012) – Veteran late model
racer Jim Bernheisel of Lebanon, Pennsylvania scored his first
triumph at Selinsgrove Speedway in the Late Model division’s
25-lap main event. On a lap five restart, original ninth-place
starter Jim Bernheisel rocketed from seventh to fourth. A lap
later, Bernheisel moved into third and set his sights on Shuey
and Trevitz at the front of the pack. Bernheisel passed to second
on the eighth lap and on a lap nine restart, took the lead with
an inside pass in turn one. The Eibach Springs equipped Lazer
Chassis led the rest of the way and posted a 1.3-second margin
of victory.
United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS)
Johnny Scott Tops Hunt for the USMTS Casey’s Cup
Feature at Nobles County Speedway WORTHINGTON, MN
(August 18, 2012) – Johnny Scott of Las Cruces, NM captured
his first win during the Hunt for the USMTS Casey’s Cup Sunday
evening at the Nobles County Speedway. It was his fourth overall
win of the season and 13th of his USMTS career. From the pole
position, Scott took the lead at the start and never looked back,
leading all 40 laps en route to a $3,000 payday and ending a 32race
dry spell. It was another great night for Eibach Springs, as
Rodney Sanders of Happy, Texas, picked up his second runner-up
finish in as many nights. With eight events in the books, Sanders
leap-frogged over Ryan Gustin to take the series points lead by
14 (825 to 811) thanks to consistency throughout the campaign.
In his 28 starts in the USMTS Casey’s Cup Series this season,
‘The Rocket’ has four wins, 23 top-fives and 27 top-ten finishes.

Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM)
Edoardo Mortara Clinches Podium for Audi NüRBURG
(August 19, 2012) – Audi started into the second half of the DTM
season with a second place at the Nürburgring. At the event,
Edoardo Mortara and Mike Rockenfeller made up ground to the
overall leader and are now the best-placed Audi racers in the
standings. Mortara started from position two and finished as the
runner-up on the podium, while Rockenfeller took fifth place.

Cain Sweeps the Advantage RV Field at Ogilvie
Raceway OGILVIE, MN (August 11, 2012) - Dave Cain continued
his winning ways in Advantage RV Modified competition at
the Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, Minnesota on Saturday, August
11. Cain’s Eibach Springs equipped Modified paced the field
to the green flag and led all thirty circuits around the high
banked oval to capture his third tour victory of the season.
Cain’s impressive results have propelled him into the WISSOTA
Modified National standings lead over the Kevin ‘Buzzy’ Adams.

Kramer Tops Modified Field at Eldora Speedway
ROSSBURG, OH (August 11, 2012) – Joey Kramer left the Eldora
Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio with the top spot in points standings
after capturing his fourth victory of the season at the famed
dirt oval. Despite missing a points accruing event earlier this
year, Kramer entered Saturday’s action a mere point behind the
leader. Kramer started in the pole position, but settled in third
through the early circuits of the 18-lap feature. Kramer’s Eibach
Springs adorned Modified worked its way into the lead with
eight to go and held on for the victory. Kramer now leads the
track championship standings by two points.
Best in the Desert Off Road Racing
Lovell Brothers Conquer Vegas to Reno LAS VEGAS, NV
(August 18, 2012) – Over 300 teams took the green flag in the
Best in the Desert Off Road Racing Vegas to Reno event in an
attempt to conquer the treacherous route. Deep in the Ultra 4
class, brothers Brad and Roger Lovell sat in the Eibach Springs
equipped no. 4423 AMSOIL/Torchmate rock racer readying
themselves for the 534 mile journey. The duo overcame
mechanical issues that left the transmission stuck in second gear
with nearly 200 miles to go and a high end ignition miss to reach
the finish line in 13 hours, 11 minutes, 15 seconds. The Lovells
finished 4th in the Ultra 4 class and 69th overall. The determined
effort of the entire team has given Brad Lovell the Ultra 4 Pro
Series points lead going into the last event at Miller Motorsports
Park.
