16Kakahu Angus Yearling Bull Sale 8 October 2020ONLINE KAKAHU AUCTION WITH BIDRThis sale will be hosted by bidr® (www.bidr.co.nz) as a HYBRID auction, with online bidding and a live-streamavailable on sale day, as well as the normal on-farm format. All intending ONLINE purchasers must register onbidr® in advance of the sale date, by visiting the website and using the “sign up” button, adding their contact information and nominating the agencythey would like to purchase through and account held with that agency. Alternatively, purchasers can organise an agent from one of the agencieslisted on bidr® to buy on their behalf. Kakahu Angus Yearling Bull Sale 8 October 202017TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE1. All lots will be sold subject to the usual conditions governing auctionsales held under the auspices of the South Canterbury Stock andStation Agent’s Association. Such conditions of sale will be postedup in the yards.2. STERILE BULLS: Should a bull prove infertile or incapable of service thepurchaser will return the bull to the vendor and the vendor will refundthe purchase price (without interest, expenses, costs of damages) to thepurchaser. If a bull does not possess a reasonable fertility, although nottotally infertile, an arbitrator appointed by the Auctioneer shall settleany dispute and the Award of such Arbitrator shall be accepted as finaland binding by the parties to the dispute. This does not apply to infertilityproblems for reasons beyond the control of the vendor after delivery.3. Any complaint must be lodged with the Auctioneers within TWELVE(12) CALENDAR MONTHS of the date of sale. The cost of takingdelivery of and returning a bull to the vendor shall be borne by thepurchaser. A veterinary surgeon’s certificate shall be procured bythe purchaser and submitted to the arbitrator if require by him. Therefund is limited to the individual value of a bull as a breeder, anddoes not extend to the loss of profits or otherwise sustained in theevent of infertility or non-capacity being proven. This condition shallbind the executors or administrators of the vendor.4. Kakahu cattle are TB and Brucellosis free and have had an extensiveBVD eradication program for the last 20 years. The Kakahu herd isC10 status for TB.5. All bulls shall be at the risk and expense of the purchaser upon thefall of the hammer.6. DELIVERY: Bulls will be delivered ex the sale, unless otherarrangements have been made with the vendor. NB. Completepurchaser’s Instruction Slip.7. PAYMENT: All purchases shall be paid for prior to delivery, except inthe case of buyers who have made specific arrangement with theselling agents.8. INSURANCES: Suggested 30 days including transit, from deliverydate. Term policies and loss of use cover available on application.9. TRANSFERS: These will not be given to bulls unless otherwise stated,except on the day of sale.10. INSTRUCTION SLIPS: In the buyers’ interest and to avoid mistakes,we strongly recommend that they complete instruction slips andhand them to the sale office before leaving Kakahu.11. COMMISSIONS: Intending purchasers must nominate their companyAT REGISTRATION in order for the company to receive a 6% rebate.This account must be settled wihin 14 days.
