Supporter Spotlight:Hugo Halkes Charitable TrustThe Hugo Halkes CharitableTrust, based in the Wiltshirevillage of Pewsey, hasbeen supporting Brainwavesince 2009.The Trust has established itself as oneof our longest-serving Guardians,providing funding to those children mostin need. In total, the Trust has donatedover £30,000 to Brainwave, making anincredible difference to our work and tothe lives of the children and families thatwe engage with.Rhodri Davies, Head of Fundraising,Marketing and Communications said:“The support that the Hugo HalkesCharitable Trust has given to Brainwaveover the past 10 years has beenabsolutely incredible. In celebration ofher many achievements and milestonessmashed, Natalie has pledged to raise £30,000throughout the year, including challengingherself to scale the roof of The O2 in Londonthis May. She won’t, however, be doing thisalone, as she has recruited Brainwave PatronOlly Murs to join her. Theyheld many raffles and activities including‘An Evening with Elvis’ in 2018, whilst ahardy bunch successfully completedthe Three Peaks Challenge! They raisedover £16,000 in under nine months – a bigthank you to all involved.Having a Ball of a timeNovember 2018 saw the 9 th Brainwave Balltaking place at the Mere Golf and Spa,with guests including Brainwave PatronsThe Lady Fellowes of West Stafford LVOand The Lord Fellowes of West Stafford DL.The event was a dazzling success, raising£68,000 for the Charity.A runaway fundraising successThe London Santa Dash was back lastDecember, with a record 375 participantstaking to the streets of London forBrainwave. The event was officially openedby Olympic boxer Anthony Ogogo, whojoined in with the festive and energeticwarm up routine! The event raised abrrrrrilliant £15,000 for Brainwave.5
