SIXTH FORM

Sixth Form Enrichment Programme

At S. Peter’s we aim to realise every child’s God-given

potential and this is also applied to our Enrichment

Programme.

This compulsory module allows students to create their

own bespoke extra-curricular enrichment from 6 different

categories, known as ‘roads’, which will continue to build

on and expand their interests beyond what they learn in

the classroom.

The roads available to students are Academic, Athletics

and the Arts, Practical Skills, Work Experience, School

Community, and Charity, and each are connected to our

school ethos as they are linked with a core Christian

value.

Each half term, students will choose a different road to

explore, for example, a student may choose to participate

in ‘Crash Course University Cooking’ in the Practical Skills

road for the first half term and then the following half term

explore the ‘Film Club’ option in the Athletics and the Arts

road. This ensures a holistic approach to education in

S. Peter’s Sixth Form, and provides students with many

experiences that can be useful for their own wellbeing

as well as for future university, apprenticeship, and job

applications.

Assessment Mentoring & Intervention

We regularly report on student’s progress and provide

detailed assessment information enabling students and

parents to understand where they are currently and how

they can progress further.

We intervene quickly to support progress and use a

variety of strategies to support and help our students.

All students are valued equally and, if you find you need

some extra support academically or personally, we make

sure you get it quickly.

Careers and Life Skills Programme

From the beginning of Year 12 we have a programme of

activities in place to ensure that all students are aware of

the opportunities available to them after sixth form.

All students (and parents) have access to the Unifrog

online platform which supports students in their careers

research and applications for university courses or

apprenticeships.

In addition to this we support students with tutorial

sessions in a range of activities including: university and

apprenticeship visits, study skills sessions, interview

techniques, well-being support sessions, financial skills,

e-safety, drugs awareness, online presence and much

more. A. Tranter - Lead
