Donor Advised Fund as a convenient way<br />
to support an array of <strong>Jewish</strong> and non<br />
<strong>Jewish</strong> charitable causes. “We feel it’s great<br />
to be able to make a difference, not just as<br />
individuals, but as members of the <strong>Jewish</strong><br />
community,” says Robyn.<br />
One grant that stood out for them was to<br />
the <strong>Jewish</strong> <strong>Community</strong> Center’s first ever<br />
KC Superstar competition. KC Super-<br />
Star is an ‘American Idol’ style event that<br />
awards a scholarship to a local musical<br />
performer. The event proceeds help the<br />
JCC underwrite scholarships. “We supported<br />
KC Superstar because it brought a<br />
diverse group of young people and their<br />
families together for a fun contest. The<br />
soloists worked so hard to show off their<br />
talent to a larger audience. It’s an inspiring<br />
program that supports and exposes the<br />
JCC to many audiences.”<br />
