10 MEREDITH and DISTRICT NEWSLandcare NewsBamganie-Meredith GroupNerida AndersonBambra Agroforestry Farm Tour – MAY 2021Following on from the very engaging and informativepresentation by guest speaker Rowan Reid in October2019, we have organised a private guided tour of theBambra Agroforestry Farm in May this year (COVIDdependent of course!). Rowan is a nationallyrecognised forest scientist as well as a farmer and treegrower. On the tour we will learn about over 50specialty timber species and how to grow them in waysthat heal the land, enhance biodiversity, shelter stock,reduce fire risk and create a beautiful landscape. Thetour will also include demonstration of a portablebandsaw, solar kiln, logging winch, pruning tools, treeguards and varied planting designs.
