ASABA—THE people of
Ekpan community in
Uvwie Local Government
Area, Delta State, have
commended Governor
Ifeanyi Okowa for wading
into the crisis surrounding
the appointment of Community
Liason Officers,
CLOs in the community.
The people in a letter to
the Governor, signed by
Olorogun Joe Amurun,
Chairman, Ekpan Integrity
Group/Coalition
Ekpan Patriots Groups,
CEPG and Deacon M.E.
Emewakeme, President,
Ekpan Stakeholders
Group, ESG, thanked him
for asking the community
to let the status quo remain
in the interim on the
issue of CLOs.
The people under the
umbrella of the Coalition
of Ekpan Patriots Group,
CEPG, said; “we applaud
your administration for
this timely and pragmatic
intervention in releasing
the letter through the Director-General
on Security
Matters asking the community
to let the status quo
remain in the interim.
“That proactive step on
the part of the government
saved the community from
witnessing another bloody
orgy and/or a period of anarchy.
We must profusely
thank you sir for a job welldone

Ekpan community lauds Okowa for wading into
its internal crisis

the Ekpan community regarding
the appointment
of CLOs, the people, said

therefore surmounts the

peace within Effurun

Isoko Chapel, has
congratulated Mr. Jude
Ogbimi on his election as
member representing the
Isoko North constituency in
the Delta State House of
Assembly in the just concluded
by election in the constituency.
The chapel, in a statement
by its Chairman, Comrade
Emmanuel Ekebe and
Secretary, Comrade Mike
Ilaya, described Ogbimi's
emergence as timely and a
call to service to the Isoko
nation and Delta State at
large.
The chapel urged Ogbimi
to hit the ground running not
only to sustain his
predecessor's legacies but also
bring his wealth of experience
to bear in expounding the
legislative space towards
attracting democratic
dividends to his people.
The Chapel canvassed the
need for the majority leader
seat in the Delta State House
of Assembly which became
vacant with the sudden death
