Allthings.BioPRO projectis engaging citizens inshaping the bioeconomyCitizens need to have a say in political decisions and agendasettingprocesses in the bioeconomy. On the other hand, the biobasedindustry needs the input of citizens and consumers, tomake sure that the products developed are in tune with consumers’requirements and expectations.The Allthings.bioPRO project was designed to address a major gapin encouraging citizen engagement and to create a deeperunderstanding of the bioeconomy. The project aims to engagecitizens in a debate on the bioeconomy, and seeks to learn moreabout their expectations regarding quality, functionality andsustainability of bio-based products. In the project citizen play acentral role creating and deploying an innovative serious gameand a smartphone app.12
