Amsterdam, B.LA.H. is based on the belief that
today’s consumers want great fashion with sustainability
woven in… without the marketing
spin.
Every collection is born from the philosophy
‘We Care, But We Don’t’. Or in plain English: we
care about making cool shoes that people want
to buy and wear. We care about what you put
on your feet. We don’t care about talking about
being the greenest brand on the planet.
Other brands can talk the talk. We walk the walk.
We’re a shoe brand. We haven’t come to save
the world.
Powered by a passionate crew of changemakers,
designers, and artisans, B.L.A.H. is committed
to every part of the production process,
from materials to manufacturing. Our edgy yet
minimalist boots and sneakers are brought to
life with a unique creative aesthetic, bold colour
combinations, and mainly eco-friendly materials.
The result? Premium shoes which are built
to last and tread lightly on the earth. As simple
as that.
We care about the planet – after all, it’s the only
one we’ve got – and that’s why all our boots
and sneakers feature minimal-impact materials
like vegetable-tanned leather, recycled or
eco-friendly canvas and parachute silk, and
non-harmful dyes. And we wrap them in sustainable
packaging to go.
We care about people: not just the consumers
we design for, but the expert crew who handcraft
our shoes with passion and creativity in
a small factory in Portugal. We pay them a fair
wage, provide a healthy work environment and
set a schedule that suits their lives rather than
our business needs. In fact, we rate our artisan
partners so highly we named our shoe styles after
them. And we think the Minda, Isabel, Lara,
Luisa, Andrea, Noelia and Maria are just as kickass
as their namesakes.
As a new brand at the start of our journey, we
don’t care about being perfect.
After all, who is?* Instead, we’re putting our
best foot forward with a no-blah commitment to
minimise our environmental impact. And have
some fun along the way. Because life is serious
enough.
We’ve used a page telling you the B.L.A.H. brand
story, but we could have done it in three sentences.
