3Welcome toKidney MattersHi all,As I sit to write these words, the sun is shining,its nearly 30 degrees and the talk is of ‘FreedomDay’ - what could be better. But as we in the kidneycommunity know, it’s not freedom day for everyone!Whilst the rest of the country seems preoccupiedwith flocking to the beach and the media argueswith politicians over the suitability of Covidpassports, many kidney patients and their familiesfeel left behind. As we all know, it’s all very welltalking about exercising personal responsibility, buthow do you decide, when you don’t have theinformation about your level of protection?At Kidney Care UK we will not let this matter drop.We continue to campaign to raise awareness of theconcerns of patients and will continue to write topoliticians and journalists as well as employers, toensure their worries and anxieties are not ignored.In fact, our latest media campaign, working withmany other national charities, was covered by theleading newspapers and news radio stations.
