2022 has proved to be another very busy year for all the teams at West Kington. It has
been a real pleasure to see some old and new faces in person again at the HTA National
Plant Show, Four Oaks Trade Show and the South West Growers Show. We would like to
extend a warm thank you to all our customers who have supported us and we look
forward to working with you all again in 2023.
History
In 1984 West Kington Nurseries (WKN) started trading with its first black and white
catalogue and modest range of plants under the ownership of Barbara Austin.
Under the new ownership of Mark Jackson and inspired by Barbara’s love of country
cottage plants, the signature “Barbara Austin Perennials” made their debut in 2005. This
premium range comes with a colourful display board, bench tape and branded trays,
plus the benefit of having one low price for all plants in the two­trolley deal at the start
of the season.
Almost forty years on, with Mark’s vision for the future, industry knowledge and
experience, WKN has grown and developed into a nursery specialising in a wide variety
of Herbaceous Perennials and has become the go to nursery for 9cm liners with 2LTR,
3LTR and 5LTR herbaceous plants for the main summer season.

Notes

Terms & Conditions of Sale
This catalogue cancels all previous catalogues and Terms and Conditions and its terms apply to the
exclusion of any terms originating from the customer.
Stock
Every effort is made to keep all our nursery
stock true to name and free from virus, pests or
diseases. Should a claim result our liability shall
not exceed the invoice price of the plants
concerned.
Orders
All orders are taken subject to availability and
satisfactory growth. Varieties are sold in full
trays ­ 9cm x 18; 1L x 8; 2L x 6. Part trays
ordered will be subject to a surcharge of 5p per
plant.
Order Cancellation
In the event of any order being cancelled and
when goods are not accepted at time of
delivery, we reserve the right to charge at least
20% of the value of the order without having to
prove loss.
VAT
VAT is at the current rate and not included in
the catalogue price.
VAT number 862 3467 13.
Payment
Our credit terms are 30 days from the date of
invoice. In default of payment, interest will be
added to the outstanding account calculated at
a rate of 3% per month. New customers are
requested to pay cash with their first delivery.
In order to open an account, two satisfactory
trade references plus the name and address of
the customer’s bank and account number are
required.

For deliveries that are over 150 miles radius from the Nursery and where small vehicles or timed
deliveries are requested, a surcharge may be made. West Kington Nurseries will endeavour to
maintain prices, but reserves the right to alter prices. Any price changes that affect an order will be
notified to the customer.
Damage and Complaints
Any damage, shortage or complaint cannot be acknowledged unless made by phone or fax within 24
hours of delivery and confirmed in writing within three days of delivery. Damaged goods must be
retained for inspection. All goods delivered or collected remain the property of West Kington
Nurseries Ltd until they have been paid for in full. We reserve the right to enter property to reclaim
goods if payment is not received. However, the risk therein and any liability to third parties shall pass
to the customer on delivery or collection.
In the event of any disputes these will be settled under English law. West Kington Nurseries shall not
be liable for damage or loss caused as a result of any occurrence beyond the Company’s control.
