This will includein-hospital care, specialist fees,chemotherapy, radiation, andmedication.The amount they pay, andthe type of treatment willdepend on the medical aid andthe option you have chosen.Notify your medical aidimmediately of the diagnosis.Get pre-authorisation fortreatment.It is possible your medicalaid will expect you to enrol intheir oncology programme.Use a designated servicep r ov i d e r so you do not need topay in the difference if yourspecialist is contracted out of themedical aid rates.You and your doctor willhave to submit a treatment planto your medical aid.
