Industry News and Services A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR WELCOME TO THE CFAS AUTUMN JOURNAL. THE LAST QUARTER OF 2021, THE CLOCKS DUE TO BE TURNED BACK AN HOUR, CHRISTMAS IS FAST APPROACHING AND ORGANISATIONS ARE PLANNING THEIR 2022 BUDGETS. When speaking to our members, we are getting mixed reactions, with some thinking this is the quickest year ever, and others feeling that it has been a long haul with a while to go yet. Some of this could be due to the uncertainty we have all lived with. Are we going back into the office or not? Can we travel abroad yet or not? Will we get booster jabs or not? What is certain though, is that our industry has pulled through this worldwide catastrophe and seems to be busy, and full of energy. There have been many industry functions over the last few months, with CDW Unlocked, Clerkenwell Open, Mixology Awards South, London Design Festival, Clerkenwell Design Week Trail, London Design (formerly 100% Design) and Mixology Awards North still to come. Ok, scaled back and not as populated as previous years, but showing that the manufacturers, product designers and everyone within the industry sector have not stood still in the last 18months, and our industry is scaling up as ‘normal’ life resumes. With that I encourage you to read some of the great articles in our hybrid working feature, as they provide some great insight into life today, and advice about the workplace of the future.
