What does<br />
HHSTC means?<br />
Since 1992 with the ST1100 aka “Pan European” model, <strong>Honda</strong> equips more and more<br />
its motorcycles with a system called <strong>Honda</strong> Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). This<br />
system monitors constantly the speeds of the front and rear wheels via speed sensors<br />
incorporated into the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). When the rear wheel<br />
begins to rotate significantly faster than the front, the systems reduces fuel delivery<br />
to the engine and limits rear-wheel slippage. In 2019 with the new CBR650R,<br />
<strong>Honda</strong> applied this technology for<br />
the first time to its mid-displacement<br />
SuperSport motorcycle.<br />
The rider can deactivate it on<br />
demand.<br />
