JPS & PARTNERS CO-OPERATIVE CREDIT UNION LIMITEDMinutes of the 65th AGM (Continued)operative Credit Union copped the Renford Douglas trophyfor large Credit Unions and and Postal Co-operative CreditUnion won the Paul Thompson trophy for Medium-SizedCredit Unions. PWD Co-operative Credit Union won theJohn Peter Sullivan Award for Small Credit UnionsMr. Fleming further highlighted that given the decrease inthe number of Credit Unions, the League took the decisionto combine the usual three (3) regional Board Exchangesinto one event called Board Consultation One, which washeld in the month of March. Board Consultation Two washeld on November 21, 2019. He noted that at BoardConsultation One, the matter of the MasterCard and thedebit card rollout were dealt with. At the Board ConsultationTwo, delegates were provided with updates on the debitcard and other projects initiated by the League.Continuing, he noted that the 2019 Annual CaribbeanConfederation of Credit Unions was jointly hosted with theWorld Council of Credit Unions; the Conference was heldat the Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas from July28-31, 2019. A total of 1,946 Credit Union executives andvolunteers from over 57 countries attended the four-dayconference.Director Fleming stated that the Delegates from the JPS &Partners Co-operative Credit Union were pleased to haveserved and proud to be members of the Credit UnionMovement. In addition, he stated that the Credit Union’sDelegates were grateful for the confidence that themembers placed in them and that they look forward toserving the members in 2020. He subsequently asked fora motion to be moved for the adoption of the LeagueDelegates Report. David Grey, seconded by Devon Wright,moved the motion.PRESENTATIONThe Chairman advised of a presentation to be made to Ms.Natalie Sparkes who demitted office having served theMr. Devon Wright, Treasurer presents Natalie Sparks, Director with a farewell gift.Your Financial Partner for Life 19 2020 Annual Report

He stated that theCredit Union thank Ms. Sparkes immensely for her yeomanservice to the Board. The Treasurer made the presentationto Miss Natalie Sparkes.ANY OTHER BUSINESSMr. Leon Ramsay told the Chairman that he went to theCredit Union and applied for a loan with the relevantdocuments and was advised by the Member ServiceRepresentative that within three to five days he wouldknow whether his application was approved. He said hewent to the Credit Union after the five days and enquiredwhether the loan had been approved or whether it wasdenied. Mr. Ramsay said he was told that his applicationcould not be found and he might have toredo the application. The Chairman, onbehalf of the team, apologized to Mr.Ramsay for the misplacement of hisapplication. He asked Mr. Ramsay tohave discussion with the GeneralManager in order for her to take thepertinent information from him with thehope to speedily address the matter. Healso asked Mr. Ramsay to give theGeneral Manager his telephone numberbefore leaving the meeting so she canfollow-up personally with him. Mr. De LaHaye requested that once the memberwas eligible for the loan that it should bedisbursed on Monday September 21,2020.TERMINATIONHaving exhausted the items on the agenda the Chairmanreminded the members of the COVID-19 protocols andwished them God’s speed and safe travel home. He thenasked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion wasmoved by Mr. Cebert Mitchell and seconded by Mrs. AndreaThomas-Wright.
