61 YEAR CAREER STARTED IN THE MAILROOM
In November the United Services Union
celebrated the wonderful contribution
that Trevor Newton made to the community
of Canterbury Bankstown, Local
Government and indeed as a member
of the United Services Union (previously
MEU) over a period of 61 years.
“In 1960 Trevor commenced his employment
and union membership as a
15 year old, starting in the mailroom.
Contributions such as Trevor’s are very
rare in today’s environment. On behalf of
the State and National Executive we pay
tribute to a man who has dedicated his
working life supporting his Union and the
community,” said Graeme Kelly OAM USU
General Secretary.

After a long career with Active Super
(formerly Local Government Super) our
much beloved representative Barry Miler
has made the decision to retire.
The Southern branch of the USU wishes to
thank Barry for his service over the years to
both the Super fund and our members as a
whole.
He will be sorely missed and we wish him all
the best into the future.
