LET’S KEEP THE SHOW ON THE ROAD!
Firstly, I want to thank everyone that has attended concerts and events with us since
the return of live performance without social distancing in place. It has been wonderful
to see you and see the Guildhall come alive once more with music, laughter, fun and
enjoyment!
We thank you for embracing the additional safety measures we have put in place and
being considerate of the people around you. As we move forward into the Winter/Spring
season I want to assure you that we will continue to take our responsibility to help
control the risk of infection seriously and will update our measures accordingly.
From January we have a packed programme of shows and concerts for you to enjoy and
we are adding more all the time – so please do sign up to our newsletters and follow us
on social media to ensure you don’t miss anything! We are also very excited to welcome
the return of our own events this year – Guildhall Games Fest and Portsmouth Comic
Con – International Festival of Comics.
Fresh from a fantastic Christmas party season, the Guildhall is getting busy with
conferences, meetings, parties and weddings – please don’t hesitate to contact our
team if you would like a show-round and to discuss your event or occasion.
As a charity, The Guildhall Trust has also been driving forward its Get Involved
programme of activity in the community. Its Dance Live! competition for schools and
colleges is set to engage with record numbers of young people in 2022 and has
expanded to include a round of heats in Poole. UVG – The Urban Vocal Group also
continues to go from strength to strength having successfully launched a new group for
adults in Paulsgrove and we will be launching new groups for adults and young people
in Gosport in the New Year.
