Empowering digital leadersOur students are equipped to collaborate, communicate and create using the latest digital technology. We recognise thateach learner is growing up in an ever more connected world. They have a wealth of knowledge at their fingertips and learningwhat to do with it is a vital skill. Throughout the curriculum at St Mary’s College we help young people navigate the connectedworld we live in and use it to their advantage.Future proof learning & teachingWe are embracing the challenge of preparing St Mary’s pupils for futures in thedigital world. Our innovative skills based curriculum develops the pupils creativeproblem solving, agility, communication, collaborating and information analysisskills. We are at the forefront of educational development and we continue to addto our innovative curriculum that will support and inspire all of our pupils to learnand achieve. In Year 8 pupils will be introduced to coding, games developmentand have the opportunity to design and develop their very own Apps.The IT department offer a range of clubs and invite pupils to take part in numerouscompetitions.These include:• Code Club• Games Development Club• Sentinus App Development Competition• UCodeChelsea Brady practising her digital photography skills.St Mary’s College is a Digital Schoolhouse• Saint Mary’s College has been selected to take part in an award-winningnational programme, Digital School House, powered by PlayStation®. St Mary’s has been a Microsoft Showcaseschool since 2014 and is one of only three Showcase Schools in the North of Ireland.We really value our Microsoft Showcase School status.
