Lauren Fox (MFA 1998) will publish<br />
her second novel, Friends Like Us, in<br />
February 2012 with Knopf.<br />
Julie Gard (MFA 2000) w<strong>as</strong> hired <strong>as</strong><br />
Assistant Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> Writing at <strong>the</strong><br />
University <strong>of</strong> Wisconsin-Superior.<br />
Kathleen Gl<strong>as</strong>gow (MFA 2002) won<br />
<strong>the</strong> annual fiction award bestowed by<br />
<strong>the</strong> University <strong>of</strong> Minnesota’s alumni<br />
magazine Minnesota with her short story,<br />
“Leaving”; <strong>the</strong> story w<strong>as</strong> published<br />
in <strong>the</strong> June <strong>2011</strong> issue. Gl<strong>as</strong>gow will be<br />
<strong>the</strong> featured poet in Orange Quarterly’s<br />
February 2012 issue.<br />

Poem,” in Sentence 8. Midway Journal<br />
published “A Storytelling <strong>of</strong> Crows”<br />
and “Things to Consider . . . 742.” She<br />
is now nonfiction editor <strong>the</strong>re. Essays<br />
also appeared in Hotel Amerika and<br />
Caketrain. Her essay “Tom” w<strong>as</strong> selected<br />
<strong>as</strong> one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> winners <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> New<br />
Delta Review Contest and published in<br />
<strong>the</strong> June issue. Her manuscript h<strong>as</strong> been<br />
selected <strong>as</strong> a finalist in <strong>the</strong> Zone 3 <strong>2011</strong><br />
Nonfiction Book Award, judged by Lia<br />
Purpura. She writes for <strong>the</strong> Writer’s<br />
Almanac.<br />
Brian Laidlaw (MFA <strong>2011</strong>) rele<strong>as</strong>ed<br />
his first album wolf wolf wolf (<strong>the</strong> audio<br />
counterpart to his poetry <strong>the</strong>sis). He<br />
is Adjunct Instructor <strong>of</strong> Songwriting<br />
and Lyric at McNally Smith College<br />
<strong>of</strong> Music. Five poems were published<br />
