Welcome to our 2022 private treaty bull sale
As everyone in the cattle business knows 2021 was a trying year to
say the least. A lot of cattle were sold earlier than usual and many producers’
cow herds have shrunk. We are hopeful 2022 will be a better year with ample
moisture. We were fortunate to make it through with early weaning and were
able to access area farmers’ failed crops to put up feed and have extra fall
grazing options. We are very thankful for our great neighbors. All our calves
are raised on their mother’s milk and grass with no creep. The bulls were
weaned the 14th of September with the weaning weights lighter than normal
due to the drought. They have been gaining well, with the group averaging
2.85lbs/day of gain. They haven’t been pushed for maximum gain as we want
them to remain sound and in good shape to go out and work for you come
breeding season.
This is a balanced set of bulls that are very uniform in their kind. They
have the ability to sire heavy steers and a maternal set of females. All bulls will
pass a breeding soundness exam before they leave the ranch. We will feed the
bulls for free until April and will deliver them at no charge.
You are welcome to the ranch anytime to look over the bulls. The
bulls are for sale on a first come first serve basis. Videos will be on our website
behmpolledherefords.com and thelivestocklink.com. If you have any questions
on the bulls please reach out as we will get you all the info we can to
help make your bull selection as easy as possible. We always like to visit with
customers new and old and enjoy talking cattle.
Thank you,

Guarantee
All bulls will be guaranteed fertile and sound breeders before we deliver them. Should an injury
or fertility problem arise in the first 60 days after turnout we will get you a bull to replace
him until his long term soundness can be determined. If the bull is deemed unsuitable to return
to breeding service by a veterinarian, we will offer credit towards purchase of a new bull.
The calculation for credit is as follows (purchase price - salvage value = credit). This is only
available on bulls selling for $3,000 or more. Death will not be covered as that is insurable.
