#YouthVIP Summit: Changing The System Through<br />
Volunteering: <strong>ACVO</strong> was delighted to join over a<br />
hundred people from throughout the country to discuss<br />
youth volunteering at the excellent #YouthVIP Summit:<br />
Changing The System Through Volunteering.<br />
The event was youth led, with the brilliant Youth VIP-<br />
Volunteer Innovation Project sharing experiences,<br />
information and facilitating excellent breakout sessions<br />
on key priorities and recommendations for youth<br />
volunteering. Shona Robison MSP, Cabinet Secretary<br />
for Social Justice, Housing and Local Government<br />
joined the Summit and gave her great support for all<br />
the Youth VIP's and everyone supporting the<br />
tremendous youth volunteering in Scotland are doing.<br />

Young people in Aberdeen and across Scotland are<br />
providing tremendous help volunteering and are<br />
crucial for the future of volunteering.<br />
Aberdeen Volunteer Coordinators Network, <strong>ACVO</strong>,<br />
ProjectScotland Volunteering Matters and Young Scot<br />
are delighted to invite you to our online event, Let's<br />
Talk....Youth Volunteering on Thursday 10th <strong>March</strong><br />
<strong>2022</strong> from 11.00am-12.00pm.<br />
At this important event latest updates will be provided<br />
regarding youth volunteering, best practice in<br />
involving young people in volunteering, Youth VIP -<br />
Volunteering Innovation Project, a report back and<br />
actions from the #YouthVIP Summit: Changing The<br />
System Through Volunteering, Youth Volunteering<br />
recommendations and guidelines, opportunities to<br />
recognise youth volunteering such as the Saltire<br />
Awards, Volunteering for All and the development of<br />
Scotland’s Volunteering Action Plan.<br />
The event will also include input from guest speakers<br />
including Emily Breedon, Co Design Officer, Young<br />
Scot: Mike Melvin, Volunteering Services Manager,<br />
<strong>ACVO</strong> (third sector interface for Aberdeen); Sue van<br />
Horen, Engagement Manager-Youth VIP,<br />
ProjectScotland Volunteering Matters.<br />
There will also be plenty time for discussion and to<br />
catch up with one another as well.<br />
