These regenerative principles in<strong>for</strong>m management decisions and practices that help<br />

build healthy soils and, in turn, improve air and water quality, increase biodiversity<br />

and wildlife habitat, increase water infiltration and retention, reduce soil erosion,<br />

support plant and animal health, and build vital resilience in the system.<br />

Improved ecological functioning can lead <strong>to</strong> improved economics and business<br />

outcomes, such as a reduction in input costs, improved crop and lives<strong>to</strong>ck<br />

per<strong>for</strong>mance, and greater resilience <strong>to</strong> market fluctuations and extreme weather.<br />
