C O N T E N T S A NOTE from the editor 14 RAYMOND’S RECIPES I sit writing this in the most bucolic of settings - we are lucky in that our offices are within farmlands (we are actually housed in a former chicken shed - we say that’s why our ideas sometimes get scrambled!). The first signs of summer are surely here because the swallows have arrived - putting on the most wonderful of shows - and only occasionally knocking into the windows during their frenzied activity! 04 COMPETITIONS We are really looking forward to the warmer months, and this issue is certainly a celebration of that. We caught up with French chef Raymond Blanc and were lucky to have a really insightful chat with him about the British food scene and his love of teaching - we also managed to nab some recipes from his latest book.
