The <strong>Society</strong>’s major functions are our showpiece events, and are<br />
open to Liverymen, Yeomen and their guests. Hosted by the<br />
Master and Wardens, official guests may include visiting Masters,<br />
Presidents of Royal Societies, senior figures in the world of<br />
medicine, pharmacy, the sciences, entertainment, the Armed Forces, finance, politics, and beyond.<br />
These dinners are the ideal opportunity to show friends and family what the Livery is all about – whilst<br />
recognising our academic and charitable purpose. With members and guests dressed in their finest,<br />
participating in ancient – and enjoyable – ceremonies, partaking of the finest wines and food, and with<br />
excellent entertainment, what is a once-in-a-lifetime event for most can be enjoyed frequently by<br />
Apothecaries.<br />

A joint course between the Faculty of the History & Philosophy of Medicine &<br />
London Museums of Health and Medicine<br />
Exploring both the places and people that have put London at the centre of medicine, this course will<br />
take you behind the scenes of London’s finest medical museums to discover extraordinary stories and<br />
objects that have shaped how medicine is practised and experienced from the past until today.<br />
From herbs to heart surgery, public health to paramedics, drug jars to dentistry, exploring London’s<br />
museums provides remarkable insights into humanity's age-long campaign for good health.<br />
Attending this course you will:<br />
• Gain a better sense of history of medicine with a focus on the health challenges faced by Londoners<br />
past and present<br />
