Weather Hampers First<br />
2011 <strong>Space</strong> <strong>Coast</strong> Drive Escape<br />

On Tuesday, January 25, <strong>Space</strong> <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Region</strong><br />
kicked-<strong>of</strong>f the first Drive & Dine for the year.<br />
Unfortunately, the weather caused fourteen<br />
members (seven cars) <strong>to</strong> cancel, but thirteen<br />
die-hards attended.<br />
Once again, <strong>Porsche</strong> camaraderie prevailed<br />
at Captain Hiram’s in Sebastian. Members<br />
shared some wonderful track attendance<br />
s<strong>to</strong>ries, while others enjoyed the good food<br />
and service. We all had a great time until the<br />
forecasted weather signaled it was time <strong>to</strong> go.<br />
Although the initial squall line was severe, it<br />
was short lived and everyone made it safely<br />
home.<br />
As a result <strong>of</strong> many conversations with<br />
members, the original concept <strong>of</strong> Drive<br />
& Dine will change. Rather than week<br />
nights, these events will now be held during<br />
weekend daylight hours. This will allow us<br />
<strong>to</strong> enjoy some <strong>of</strong> Florida’s best sight-seeing<br />
while driving <strong>to</strong> select restaurants for either<br />
brunch or lunch.<br />
