ARGYLE WHITE DIAMONDS<br />
After spoting a diamond resting ontop of an ant<br />
hill in the Kimberley region of Western Australia,<br />
geologists Frank Hughes & Warren Atkinson<br />
discovered one of the richest diamond deposits<br />
in the world. After many years of investigation, this<br />
diamond deposit became the world renowned<br />
<strong>Argyle</strong> mine in 1983.<br />
While the <strong>Argyle</strong> mine predominantly produced<br />
brown, champagne and cognac diamonds, White<br />
diamonds were also unearthed, amounting to only<br />
a slim 2% of the gem quality stones unearthed<br />
