PORTRAITURE
This course is designed to introduce different approaches to composing a portrait painMng.
Working from the tradiMonal drawing of portraiture towards a variety of contemporary
approaches, it helps to finally create the student’s own arMsMc style.
Course Commitment: 3 hours per week.

ART HISTORY & APPRECIATION
This course of art history and appreciaMon studies the evoluMon of culture through
arMsMc producMons such as painMngs, sculptures, architecture, and the graphic and
decoraMve arts. Lectures are presentaMon and discussion based and emphasise
methodologies and criMcal theory, analysing contemporary issues in the pracMce
and display of art.
