Local artist brings rural history to Art TrailHighfields model makerRobert Prentice is excited to beopening his studio this weekendas one of this year’s feature artistsfor the InStudio Art Trail.Mr Prentice was named as oneof the eight feature artists for the11th annual trail at the beginningof July.He and his late wife Lin tookup model making when they enteredinto retirement; creatingscenes of Australia’s rural history.“I was quite proud that theyhad asked me to join in with thisyear’s art trail."I couldn’t be any happierto participate in the event,” MrPrentice said.“We had such success at theRosalie Gallery at Goombungee18 months ago and I thought itwould be worth having anothergo.”Mr Prentice’s first model hemade was when he was a schoolboy, winning a prize for a coachwhich he described as ordinary.“When I left school, I startedmaking model trucks and thingslike that. Then I got married andhad children. Do notreduce the sauce too much as any excess will be absorbed inthe pasta/lasagne sheets.HEAT milk and nutmeg in saucepan, add cornflour and stiruntil it thickens.LAYER the tomato sauce, a lasagne sheet and white saucein the baking dish.
